Western New Mexico's 4th Annual Freedom Festival returns for the 2025 Cinco de Mayo weekend!

The Western New Mexico Freedom Fest is hosted by a BIPOC family that has been writing history in New Mexico for the last 6 years. They started out homesteading in 2017 and are now hosting this festival as an act of loving resistance against the movement of removing Indigenous land from Indigenous people. They've reclaimed the land, kept it sustainable, built & improved with guidance from nature and have created this festival to be an opportunity for people to explore an area that has been inaccessible to people of color for over 100 years.

What you can expect for the Freedom Fest is a weekend full of outdoor activities, vendors, food, community & family games, live music, giveaways, contests, education, speakers and much more!

We host this festival to create safe and loving spaces for plant medicine, building community and celebrating nature in a space without judgment.
