Manitou Days is a three-week summer festival showcasing the great lakeside community of White Bear Lake. For 50+ years this annual summer ritual has been a favorite of locals and visitors.
The fun kicks-off with Marketfest and ends on the Fourth of July with a spectacular fireworks display to music over the lake. Festival highlights include the Grande Parade, the Beach Dance, Medallion Hunt, Kiddie Parade, Community Garage Sale, and more.
Build a sand castle. Enter a fishing contest. Shop Downtown White Bear Lake. Hunt for a medallion. Dance under the stars. Watch fireworks on the beach. With so many fantastic events, there is something for everyone!

Take a step back into history with White Bear Lake Area Historical Society’s brand new exhibit. X Marks the Spot! Together, we’ll explore 10 pivotal moments around the Lake Area that made history in our community through interactive displays and activities

X Marks the Spot: A Deeper Dive Series Tuesday Talks 11:00am at the Armory In this series we will take a deeper look at the ten topics highlighted in our new exhibit: X Marks the Spot! which showcases ten of the places around the lake where history has happened. Through our collection of photos, records and artifacts we will peel away the layers of local lore and dive into what we know about each topic. June 24: Bears on the Go! Smarte Carte and other fabulous inventions that keep people moving came out of White Bear. Let’s chat about how something from our community has changed the way people travel across the globe.

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Spiess Landing Rededication
Join the City of White Bear Lake and the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society to unveil a brand new monument in honor of Gerry Spiess’ historic accomplishment – sailing across the Atlantic and Pacific in a 10-foot sailboat. The event will take place from 5pm – 6pm with brief remarks from Mayor Dan Louismet, Executive Director of WBLAHS Sara Hanson, and former Channel 5 reporter Jason Davis at 5:30pm.
