About Us:

The Verona Maze is a project by GRIP.  Group Residential Individualized Program (GRIP) was established in October 2001, with the notion to help young  adolescents understand what quality of life can look like through lead management. This idea stems from Dr. Deming’s and then further developed by my friend Dr. William Glasser.

GRIP is a not-for-profit organization that promotes Christian values. GRIP is privately owned. It is not operated by any government agency or any certain religious sect.

Since 2001, GRIP boy’s home has helped children learn life and independent living skills. Older children are taught how to budget, shop for groceries, cook meals, and, in some cases, hold down a job. Programs focus on healthy living and problem-solving.

We also teach our youths to live in a healthy family environment. They learn to overcome a chaotic background and behave appropriately. In the end, their performance at school is improved, they become more mature, and they have the skills necessary to succeed in life.

GRIP is guided by a Board of Directors, each of whom is dedicated to the agency vision to promote the independence and inclusion of each of our children in the GRIP community. We emphasize ability, not disability, and promote the belief that everyone can learn, everyone can make positive choices in his life, and everyone can contribute to the environment in which he lives.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of our youths are successfully discharged to their families, foster homes, adopted placement, or a less restrictive environment.
