The Genius Of George Balanchine Takes Center Stage In A Program Of Dance Masterpieces Under The Stars, Featuring Brilliant Artists From Companies Including New York City Ballet And American Ballet Theatre. The Evening Will Include The Pioneering Choreographer’s Groundbreaking Work, Apollo, With Vail Debuts From New York City Ballet’s Roman Mejia In The Title Role And India Bradley In The Role Of Terpsichore. Also Featured Will Be Balanchine’s Bravura Tschaikovsky Pas De Deux, And His Classic Concerto Barocco Set To Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, With Colorado Ballet Joined By New York City Ballet’s Mira Nadon, Gilbert Bolden Iii, And Dominika Afanasenkov In Her Debut.

Macarthur Fellow And Tap Visionary Michelle Dorrance Joins Conversations On Dance For A Live Podcast Recording With Hosts Rebecca King Ferraro And Michael Sean Breeden. A Festival Mainstay, Dorrance Shares Insight Into Her Newest Work, The Center Will Not Hold, Co-Created With B-Girl And Choreographer Ephrat Asherie. 

Following Last Year’s Sold-Out Performance, This New Evening-Length Piece Blends Rhythm Tap With A Wide Range Of Street, Club, And Social Dances—Brought To Life By An Electric Ensemble And Live Music By Composer Donovan Dorrance And Percussionist John Angeles.
