Join us for the Snake Run where everyone has the same finishing time. You run as many loops as you can in Six or Three Hours.
We have fabulous awards for the top three male and female finishers for each race. In 2025 we are returning to t-shirts for all participants - along with finisher's medal. We may find socks from past years if you prefer.
Schedule:

Course Info:
The Snake Run at Lubell Park is single two-mile loop on Mary’s Loop. After each loop you will pass through the start/finish area which is full of volunteers, spectators, and plenty of food and drink.
Participants run as many of these loops as they can in six or three hours. The longest distance wins. If people have the same distance the win goes to the person who finished the last loop first. Only fully completed laps are counted – no partial credit if you are on the course at the end.
There is only the 2-mile loop. Runners must complete the full loop and pass through the finish line arch for credit.
You can run any number of loops to complete the challenge of the Snake Run, for example:
- One loop (2 miles) and have a hamburger and beer while you cheer on the other participants. You still go home with a finisher’s medal.
- Two loops (4 miles) and have a longish 5K under your belt.
- Seven loops for a slightly longer-than-normal Half-Marathon (14 miles)
- Eight loops for a 25km (plus change)
- 14 loops for an official Full Marathon with an ultramarathon kicker (28 miles)
- 17 loops for a plus sized 50K
Spectator friendly course
- Fully stocked aid stations powered by our fabulous volunteers
- Beautiful wooded course
- Post race meal
- T-Shirt to celebrate the Year of the Snake
- Finisher medal to celebrate your victory!
- Highly coveted awards for top three male & female
The trails at Lubell Park are great for mountain bikers of all ages and abilities; walkers and runners. The bike challenges are great for practicing your run form.
These trails maintain the mostly (more than relative) flat and sandy running surface you love with the Snake Run. The course will be a single 2-mile loop. Runners will pass through the finish line after each loop.
You can count on the standard tradition of great aid stations, post-race hamburgers, and top-notch volunteers.
This race will likely sell out so get signed up soon.
