At Fleet Feet....WE LOVE TO RUN!   The Big Run 5K is a race being celebrated in Fleet Feet communities all over our nation!  In honor of Global Running Day (the first Wednesday of June), the Fleet Feet brand comes together to celebrate our love for running.  

We first brought The Big Run to the Clemmons community in 2024.  It was AWESOME!  For 2025, we are moving the race to Ivey Redmon Park to continue to grow this event, and include our running friends from all over the Triad.  Huge thanks to Brooks Sports who is generously sponsoring The Big Run nationwide.

Schedule:

Timed 5K: Heat 1 (Sub 30 Minutes) - 8:00AM
Timed 5K: Heat 2 (25 Minutes +) - 8:30AM 
1 Mile Fun Run (untimed) - 9:30AM
Elite Timed 5K: Heat 3 - 9:30AM

Course Info:

You'll have a chance to run (or walk!) on the beautiful course cross-country course.  Once you hit the finish line, join our post-race expo!  Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 350 5K registrants and 80 fun run registrants. 
Because this is a cross country course, there are three different heats: 

Heat 1 = Under 30 minutes

Heat 2 = 25 minutes or over
If you run a 5K between 25 and 30 minutes, you can choose if you want a more competitive heat (heat 1) or a less competitive heat (heat 2). 

Heat 3 = Elite Wave.  Qualifying times: Men Sub 18:00, Women Sub 20:00.  Must submit a comparable race entry to qualify.

Prize:

Elite Wave Cash Prize Purse:  $1400

1st Place Male/Female:  $400 each
2nd Place Male/Female:  $200 each
3rd Place Male/Female: $100 each
We are also crowd sourcing from other registrants and the proceeds will be distributed from 1st through 5th place. 

A portion of race proceeds will be donated to our Good Works Engine charity.  Good Works Engine was formed in 2010 (formerly Mission: Feet First) and exists to aid the underprivileged.  Through our charity we are able to provide proper fitting shoes to our local homeless, sheltered, tent-city communities as well as students in local low-income schools.
