9:00am - 3:00pm: Drawing for Beginners with Mary Laury at SAFA Schoolhouse

You can draw! Anyone can learn to draw. Learn to draw what you see. This class will give you a jump start and give you confidence to draw for pleasure or for a base for your painting. 

9:00am - 12:00pm: Drawing Like the Masters with Silverpoint with Kat Logan at Combs Studio

Silverpoint is a drawing technique perfected by the Masters like Leonardo Da Vinci and others. It uses actual silver to draw on a prepared surface and over time the silver tarnishes bringing a beautiful patina to the drawing that nothing else compares to. This drawing workshop is recommended for those who have some experience drawing and want to learn the techniques involved with this special medium.

10:00am - 11:30am: Sketchbook Journal - Carrying It, Opening It, Filling It with Wendilee Heath O'Brien at whopaints Studio

Make a habit of carrying, opening and filling your sketchbook journal. How to choose pick up and go supplies? What are the satisfying mark making methods to fill it? 

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Abstract Landscape in Gouache, Watercolor, Mixed Media with Kat Logan - FULL at Combs Studio

This course is designed for those art spirits who lean towards abstraction in their love of landscape. We will explore materials, techniques and self expressions to create our artwork. Leave behind a dependency on looking at an image and reach for that inner observation. All levels are welcome for this exploratory adventure in creativity.

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Painting Silk Mandalas with Helena Melone at SAFA Schoolhouse Tent

Exploring silk painting techniques, as well as symbols and shapes which we imbue with our personal meanings, we will create mandalas on stretched silk hoops using dye resist and silk paint.
