Join us For Our Spectacular 52nd Season
The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is one of the most respected and renowned chamber music festivals in the world, and part of its allure, for audiences and musicians alike, is that it draws inspiration from its namesake hometown, which is famously and affectionately known as the City Different.
Schedule of Events
6:00 pm - 7:45 pm - Mozart and Schumann at New Mexico Museum of Art
Following their triumphant Festival debut in 2024, the Calidore String Quartet marks their highly anticipated return with a Shostakovich tour-de-force—his dark-edged String Quartet No. 8-and joins pianist Orion Weiss for a work of a very different nature: Schumann’s exuberant Piano Quintet, known as classical music’s first great piano quintet. The program opens with Festival musicians playing Mozart’s stately Piano and Winds Quintet, which inspired the Beethoven work featured on the Festival’s July 16 evening program.
