Run, walk, or stroll through the City of Newburgh in Safe Harbors’ annual charity 5K! With a course that features the incredible architecture of Newburgh’s historic district and stunning Hudson River views, this community-centered race is fun for runners and non-runners of all ages.
The Run for the Green 5K will benefit Safe Harbors Green, a vibrant park on the corner of Broadway and Liberty that hosts an array of community events and performances throughout the year. From the weekly Newburgh Farmers’ Market to Salsa Under the Stars, outdoor movies to the annual Ritz Kidz Circus, Safe Harbors Green is a center of activity and community in Newburgh. 100% of event proceeds will support annual maintenance of the Green, capital improvements, and free summer programming in the park.
The Run for the Green is part of Spring Into Newburgh, a city-wide celebration of the season featuring the Art on the Block outdoor art market, Newburgh Farmers’ Market, and Wellness Shines on the Green, a festival highlighting local wellness vendors and free fitness classes throughout the day. Come for the run and stay for the fun!

All participants will be chip-timed by Mid-Hudson Timing and results will be posted on the event website. The fastest participants will be recognized in the following divisions:
