The City of Winter Park and Track Shack's Run for the Trees 5k run/walk presented by Center for Health and Wellbeing is a unique point to point event. The last mile is on the tree-canopied, wilderness dirt road of Genius Drive. This privately owned glimpse of old Florida is opened to the public only once a year, for this event. All in person finishers receive a young tree!
A collaboration between the Winter Park Health Foundation and AdventHealth, the Center for Health & Wellbeing is an 80,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility, open to the public, where the disciplines of wholeness, fitness, and medicine merge to empower healthy and active lifestyles. More than a building, the Center is a place for community and connection.
“Partnering with Track Shack for the Run for the Trees 5k is a natural fit for the Center for Health & Wellbeing. What the run represents for Winter Park and the surrounding area – the pursuit of health and wellbeing, a conscious focus on the environment, community, family, and a long-lasting legacy -- are the very same aims of our community facility. We are excited to welcome race participants to the Center for Health & Wellbeing for a post-race celebration and to discover the many health and wellbeing opportunities we offer within,” says Winter Park Health Foundation President and CEO Patty Maddox.
