Election Night 2024. NYC. A queer couple rides home on the subway after the presidential winner is announced. Worries about the future and struggles from the past make it increasingly difficult to navigate their way back in this contemporary Twilight Zone-type story.

“The Beige Walls of New York City” by Krista Piccotti
Brooke and Sienna are sisters who are afraid of taking the next big step in their lives. Sienna is afraid of moving to New York City while Brooke is afraid of staying. They both have unrealistic ideals about the city. Brooke demonizes it while Sienna romanticizes it. The sisters have yet to learn that it doesn’t matter what city they live in, their problems will travel with them. Being in a new city is scary no matter what city you are in.

“Anna-Versary” by Shira Gorelick
Two old friends run into each other on the 6 train. They begin reminiscing about old times, which leads them to discuss an old friend which brings up troubled memories.

“Ever Present Past” by Jonathon Ward
Dana, who grew up on Staten Island and commutes by ferry, is on her way to work but has lost her phone. She meets her high school history teacher, who reminds her of her many talents as a high school actor, helping her overcome her fears of the past by loving the possibilities of her future.

“A Real Slice of Pizza” by Michelle Giusto
Ryan and Kim are a couple that have devoted themselves to their children, never become homeowners, and are eager to own their own place with an empty nest. Ryan is considering stretching the budget out to buy a bigger home out of state. Kim is explaining why it’s important to stay in New York and be close to family, friends, and a real slice of pizza.
