The Newport Winter Festival is excited to be back again this year for another exciting 10 days of Events! We look forward to you all joining us for family fun, musical entertainment, and all the festivities!

Schedule of Events

10am, 12pm, & 2pm: Beautiful Beach Trail Rides at Newport Equestrian Academy, 287 Third Beach Rd. Just 10 mins from Newport!

We offer beautiful 2hr beach trail rides, a scenic trail ride with a castle up on the Hill, it looks like you're in Ireland with breathtaking Coastal views. Inexperienced riders are welcome. We do give you instruction before you go out.

10:30am-3pm: Paint Party at Cutie Curls, 49 Long Wharf Mall, Newport

10am-4pm: Newport Mansions Tours

Step back in time to the Gilded Age at The Breakers (44 Ochre Point Ave) and Marble House (596 Bellevue Ave) and hear fascinating stories of the people who lived and worked in these grand summer palaces.

10:30am: Winterfest Storytime at Rosecliff, 548 Bellevue Ave, Newport

An annual tradition, WinterFest Story Time at the Newport Mansions is a celebration of the winter season! Families can listen to a winter-themed story, participate in craft projects and visit Rosecliff Mansion's historic ballroom. This program is geared toward participants ages 4 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited so advance registration is necessary.

10:30am-3:30pm: Sea Shell Frame Art Classes at Cutie Curls, 49 Long Wharf Mall, Newport

11am, 1pm & 3pm: Guided Tours of Historic Fort Adams at Fort Adams State Park, 90 Fort Adams Drive, Newport, RI

Visit Historic Fort Adams, America's most complex coastal fortification. Guided tours take you to the top of the Forts ramparts for a spectacular view of Newport Harbor, then deep beneath the walls into the underground listening tunnels. Adults: $20, $5 off with bracelet.

11am- 3pm: Burgee Making Activity at The Sailing Museum, 365 Thames Street

Bring the entire family to The Sailing Museum for our Create Your Own Burgee activity! What is

a burgee? A burgee is a flag bearing the colors or emblem of a sailing club. The Mosbacher Room at The Sailing Museum will be filled with crafting supplies so you can create a real burgee that perfectly represents you, your family, or your boat.

Burgee and supplies are included with the cost of the event.

6:30pm: Robert Clarke Magician/Comedy/Juggler at Newport Harbor Island Resort

8:30pm: Annual Best Hot Drink Contest at The Red Parrot Restaurant, 348 Thames Street.

The competition heats up as judges determine the Best Hot Drink in Newport! Local bars and restaurants are invited to compete for the Festival Plaque.
