Twelfth Year of The Largest Balloon Festival In The Region
A Labor Day weekend event full of larger than life hot air balloons, fair-style foods, live music, a dedicated Kids Fun Zone, and tethered balloon rides. Each night ends with a coordinated Balloon Glow where pilots light their balloons to the rhythm of the music on stage.

Tethered Balloon Rides
Soar above the ground in a tethered ride in one of our colorful hot-air balloons for only $20 per person. You and your kids will love seeing the world from up high as the flame jet heats the air overhead. Experience humanity’s oldest form of flight! We also have a handicap-accessible balloon to accommodate all riders.
Live Music
Enjoy family-friendly live music for the full festival courtesy of talented artists. Watching the musicians is a great way for your kids to catch their breath after playing on the inflatables in the Kids Zone, and with plenty of places for seating, you’ll have a great view of the stage. This year’s artist is the Zak Saltz Band!
Delicious Foods
Did you know you can fry Oreos? We sure did, and that’s just one example of the novelty carnival-style food that you can enjoy at the festival. Have full meals like sandwiches, hamburgers, or pulled pork barbeque then top it off with a tasty carnival treat like cotton candy or funnel cakes. This is the perfect way to stay fresh for a long day of fun for you and your family.
Craft & Vendor Booths
Shop for unique crafts from our dozens of vendors. Enjoy a juried selection of hand-made items that make great souvenirs, gifts, and decorations that you can’t find at ordinary stores. There’s something for everyone!
Kids Fun Zone
Watch your kids run, play, and have a great time in our Kids Zone, full of inflatables, bounce houses, games, and other kids activities. They’ll love it, and it’ll be all the more magical because of the massive, colorful hot-air balloons in the background and the live music filling the air.
Balloon Glow
The exciting culmination of the Monroe Life Balloon Festival will be the balloon glow starting at dusk on Saturday and Sunday. Watch the many colorful balloons light up in time to music in a brilliant display of sound and color. This beautiful show is like nothing you’ve ever seen, so don’t miss out!
