For about six weeks nature cooks up sweet delights within sugar maple trees as the sap begins to flow, ready to be tapped for making sugar and syrup. The weather needs a combination of below-freezing temperatures at night and above-freezing temperatures during the day that cause the maple sap to flow.
Visitors can try tapping a tree, see maple syrup and candy making, and learn about different types of maple syrup. There are many children’s activities.
Pennsylvania maple products are available for sale during the event.
