6:00pm to 7:30pm: Jimmie Rodgers Singer/Songwriter Competition

97OKK presents the 72nd Annual Jimmie Rodgers Singer/Songwriter Competition Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience (The MAX)

Registration is open and ends on May 1. The voting period opens May 2 and ends May 7. There is a Youth Division (age 10 - 17 years), and Adult Division (18 years and older)

Upload a video below of you singing. Songs can be done live or with an accompaniment track. Original songs will get extra points during the live performance of our competition for the youth division.  The adult division song must be original. Video can range from being filmed with a cell phone to a full produced video. A parent/guardian over 18 needs to enter in order to submit a video to the youth category.

Prizes:

Adult Division - Recording studio time provided by the MAX and $1,000 cash.

Youth Division -  Recording studio time provided by the MAX and $500 cash.

In addition to the prizes listed above, the first-place winner of the adult division will get to open the Saturday, May 17th, 2025 night show for the Jimmie Rodgers Festival (performance time to be determined).
