This unique event will bring together talented singers from local high schools along with the Milligan Concert Choir to perform "The Day of Allied Voices" by Appalachian composer Benjamin Dawson. The work, written to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, contains five movements of poetry, prose, and scripture passages that offer a prayer for peace in troubled times. In addition to the festival chorus, the concert will open with featured performances by Milligan's vocal ensembles as well as student and faculty soloists.
