5:00 pm: Sister City Film - Vietnam: Don't Burn (Durng dot) (2009) - Mitchell Branch Library
In the spring of 2005, an elderly mother in Hanoi receives a diary-one that belonged to her daughter, Dang Thuy Tram, a young doctor who served at a liberation front hospital during the Vietnam War. From 1968 until her tragic death, she documented her experiences, hopes, and sacrifices in the pages of her journal. Decades later, her words resurface, sparking a national sensation in Vietnam and offering a deeply personal glimpse into the resilience and humanity of those affected by war.
Directed by Dang Nhat Minh, Don't Burn is a moving and powerful drama that brings history to life through one woman's heartfelt and courageous story.
