Hooper Tomato Days is celebrating its 100th year in 2025, marking a century of tradition, community spirit, and hometown fun. This beloved event, held annually in Hooper, Utah, brings together locals and visitors alike for a weekend packed with festivities, including a parade, rodeo, vendor booths, and of course the beloved dog races. Join us this Labor Day weekend to be part of this historic milestone and enjoy a celebration that’s been cherished for generations.

Schedule of Events:

6:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Backyard BBQ Competition

10:00 AM - 9:00 PM: Vendors - Hooper Park

7:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Pancake Breakfast - Hooper Park Large Bowery

Start your Tomato Days morning off right with a hot, hearty stack at the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser hosted by CTC! 

8:00 AM: Flag Raising Ceremony - Hooper Park Flagpole

8:00 AM: Jr. Jackpot Rodeo - Hooper Rodeo Arena

Events: Keyhole, Poles, and Barrels
Start Time:  8:00 A.M. (Oldest age groups run first on down to youngest)
Age Groups: 7 and under; 8-11, 12-15; 16-18

Entry Fees: $5 per event.  Make checks payable to Hooper City. Day of entry will have an additional $2 late fee.

To Register Day Of: Come to the Hooper Park and Riding Arena on Saturday August 30, 2025 from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM for Day of Entry. A $2 late fee will be added per event for day of registration.

8:30 AM: 5K Tomato Chase - Hooper Park Southeast Intersection

Lace up your sneakers and join us for the Hooper Tomato Days 5K Tomato Chase - a fun, family-friendly run through the quiet, scenic streets of Hooper! Whether you’re racing for a personal best or enjoying a leisurely jog with neighbors, this tomato-themed 5K puts community spirit front and center.

Packet pick-up will be Friday, August 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Hooper Park and August 30th starting at 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Hooper Park. If possible please check-in Friday, August 29th.

10:00 AM - 2:30 PM: Car Show - Hooper Park

This Event is an open show with no categories or classes.  Come join us for some fun! Awards will be given to Mayor's Choice, Weber County Sheriff's Choice, Weber County Fire District Choice, Tomato Days Rodeo Queen and Royalty's Choice, and the Rotten Tomato! Sign up using the form below.

10:00 AM: Cherry Tomato Baby Show - Cultural Hall

Is your baby cute as a cherry tomato? Come enter them in to the Tomato Days Cherry Tomato Baby Show! Registration for the event will be day of only. Babies must be registered prior to the beginning of their age group. 

Entry Fee: $10.00

Age Group Categories: 

0-6 months - Jr. Princess & Jr. Prince
7-12 months - Princess & Prince
13-24 months - Jr. Queen & Jr. King
25-35 months - Queen and King

There are no dress requirements, but hair bows/hair accessories are allowed. NO Props or Make-up!

PRIZES will be awarded to all winners in each category.  In each category, prizes will be awarded to babies in the following areas: Best Hair, Brightest Eyes, Bubbliest Personality, Biggest Smile, and more.

All Cherry Tomato Princesses, Princes, Queens and Kings are invited to ride in the parade which will be held on Monday, September 1st at 9:00 AM.

1:00 PM: Miss Pink Tomato - Cultural Hall

Is your daughter full of sweet smiles, tiny twirls, and tomato-town charm? She could be the next Tomato Days Miss Pink Tomato Queen! 

Registration for the event will be day of only. Please be at the Cultural Hall at 12:00 PM for registration. The show will start at 1:00 PM. 

Entry Fee: $10.00

Age Group Categories:
5 year olds 
4 year olds 
3 year olds

Judged in Swimsuits. No hair bows, accessories, props, or make-up allowed.

A Queen will be crowned in each age group. With a Royal Court of Two Princesses in each age group. 

All Miss Pink Tomato Royalty are invited to ride in the parade on Monday, September 1st at 9:00 AM.

3:30 PM: Jr. Rodeo - Hooper Rodeo Arena

Events: Goat Ribbon Pull, Boys/Girls Goat Tying, and Dummy Roping

Age Groups: 

Goat Ribbon Pull - 5 and under
Stick Horse Barrels - 5 and under
Boys/Girls Goat Tying - 6-8 and 9-11
Calf Riding - 6-8 and 9-11
Mutton Bustin - 7 and under
Dummy Roping - 5 and under, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, and Open

Entry Fees: $15 per event (limited spots available) Make checks payable to Hooper City. 

Pre-Registration Starting: Wednesday, August 6th at 9:30 AM

Either drop off your registration form and fee at the City Office Building or Mail them. Entries must be post marked by August 20, 2024. Entry Fees must be paid in full at time of entry. Entries taken after Aug. 22nd will have a $5 late fee & cash only.

8:00 PM: Live Concert in the Park - Hooper Park

WILDWOOD is country music’s next big thing! This powerhouse duo - Georgia peach Kate Miller and Nashville native Chad Truman—brings a soulful blend of rich harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and undeniable energy to the stage. Come enjoy an evening of country music in the park!
