International Party Girl

Solo Theatre - Annie Laurie Daniel - Ages 18+ - 1hr

International Party Girl is a character-driven, high-energy exploration of one woman’s chaotic, self-destructive party lifestyle and inner turmoil. The protagonist bursts onto the stage with a wild energy, immersing herself in the carefree atmosphere of a club. As she interacts with the audience and reflects on her life, PG reveals her complex and troubled psyche through rapid-fire anecdotes about her relationships, travels, and existential musings. She craves attention, validation, and connection but also grapples with feelings of deep loneliness and self-doubt.

The performance highlights PG’s internal struggle between her desire to be seen and her need to escape from her own reality. Throughout the show, PG’s interactions with the audience blur the line between performance and vulnerability. The play culminates in a surreal, drug-fueled “dream sequence” that delves into her chaotic mindset, bringing her to the realization that change might be the only way forward.

Through humor, absurdity, and discomfort, the piece portrays the depths of a lost girl’s search for meaning. It’s a raw, unfiltered look at identity, loneliness, and the cost of living in the spotlight.
