In this non-stop parody and magic show, Mallie McCown performs a one-person remake of James Cameron’s 1997 masterpiece using a budget entirely made up of heart. Watch her in this mad-dash race to sink an entire ocean liner before your eyes, as she plays all 2,200 souls onboard and the entirety of the North Atlantic. But alongside the madhouse of physical comedy (and some raucous audience participation), Mallie frames her story with verbatim journal entries from age 11 to 18, reminding us of the magic of childhood and the icebergs we all face while growing up.

These endearing and sometimes tragic self-written asides give this remake a whole new meaning, telling the story of what it’s like to keep hope alive through darkness and doubt, as we are reminded that it’s not only up to us to save ourselves, but the choice is ours to still see the magic in the mayhem.
