You choose – the 5k Tenacious Trail or the Moxie Mile?

Both woodland trails converge on the mud obstacle course, with a few additional mud-holes on the Tenacious Trail. Obstacles have varying degrees of difficulty, but all are manageable. Upper body strength is helpful and you have the option to bypass any obstacle you’re not comfortable tackling. Our motto: go for it before going around it!  It’s all about excitement, laughter, and camaraderie so we encourage applause, hoots, hollers, and lending a helping hand. Water and first aid are stationed along the trails and at the finish line.

Free & Fun:

We’ve got some great perks for all of our racers like…

- Race Medal at the Finish Line
- Free Gritty Chix Race Shirt (When you sign up before 5/31/25)
- Secure Bag Check to hold your goodies while you get muddy
- Shower houses and changing rooms to get clean after the run
- Free Parking
- Shuttles to and from parking and shower facilities
- Hiking trail access and use
- Live entertainment at The Lost Paddle Bar and Grill
- Prizes
- Special Gritty Chix discounts on adventure activities.

Finish Line Fun:

After you rinse off at the finish line, hop on one of our shower shuttles before heading down to The Lost Paddle to refuel and catch the FREE live music! The fun doesn’t have to stop there. ACE is the largest outdoor adventure resort in the eastern US. Zipline through the treetops with unbeatable views of the New River Gorge, explore numerous hiking trails and overlooks on property or add a waterpark pass and tackle the blob or relax beachside. When all the fun has been had, slip away to your private cabin or end the day around a campfire at your favorite campsite with friends.

Live Music @ The Lost Paddle

After getting muddy for a great cause stick around and jam with us on the deck of The Lost Paddle. Free shows and music kicks off at 2pm outside on the deck. Check out the awesome music lineup we have put together

Florencia & the Feeling have been touring the Southeastern United States since 2021. A pop-funk band playing a mix of originals and covers, this high-energy group throws a show guaranteed to inspire good feelings all around.

Florencia Rusiñol is a Latin American singer-songwriter from East Tennessee. Her musical style is influenced by her Argentinian roots and jazz-singing background, and is combined with her love of pop and funk music. Since its inception, the five-piece has been impressing listeners with upbeat funky grooves, heartfelt songwriting, and good vibes by loading their music with four-part harmonies and hints of jazz and Latin roots.

The Ain’t Sisters – Fun, eclectic folk rock. Fronted by the deliciously androgynous duo Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon, the Aints deliver high-energy performances of their wildly diverse original music. Joined by the hardest working men in rock n Roll, Richie Jones on the Boom Chick thwackita whackita, and Justin Boudreau, aka BooDreamy, masterfully holding down the rhythm section and making everybody swoon with their gorgeous licks. Think Indigo Girls meets Dream Theater but with a little Birdcloud in the mix.

Annie Neely Band – For over a decade, Neeley and her bass player/husband, Dave Kirkpatrick, have been writing songs on the folkier side of country. Her 2010 debut, Cold Heart Blues, features the type of songwriting that can coax tears from stone. With stylistic references to Hank Williams and Emmylou Harris, Neeley writes with the confidence of someone firmly connected to their roots. Neeley has been all around the Eastern US, playing her songs with a rotating cast of friends and characters. From West Virginia to DC to Nashville and back to the holler again, Neeley has found a way to channel those deep roots into a more raucous version of her original bluegrass with Big Old Moon.

MA’AM – The duo performs their own original songs as well as folk, pop, country and jazz covers. There is never a dull moment on stage with them as they soar through an array of instruments: guitar, pedal steel, banjo, and mandolin.
