Friends University Jazz Festival Returns with the Newly-Renovated Riney Fine Arts Center

Friends University is thrilled to announce the 31st annual Jazz Festival that will take place February 20-21, 2025. We are excited to continue our long-established tradition of two days of performances, clinics and educational opportunities.

This educational and experiential-focused event aims to provide jazz band students and directors an opportunity to blend with other middle school and high school programs alongside a variety of jazz professionals and educators.

Each day participating bands will perform for adjudicators, receive comments and a clinic following their performance, and have the opportunity to attend a masterclass presented by our guest artist. All performances are open for other bands to attend.

Both Thursday and Friday evenings are capped off with a ticketed concert of Friends University jazz groups joined by our guest artists. This promises to be an enriching and fulfilling experience for a wide range of student musicians and our campus community.
