Ring in the New Year with a fast mile! Our traditional Frank Shorter mile will kick off your new year and fire up your competitive drive. We'll be at Westside Park in front of the pool.

FREE for current FTC members ( FREE race code can be found here by logging into your FTC account) and kids race is free for anyone; $15 for non-members for the adult 1-mile races. There will be awards for overall men and women. Awards for age group winners in 10-year categories for 1st in each age group.

Schedule:

12:00 pm Men: 1-mile race (all paces)
12:20 Women: 1-mile race (all paces)
12:40 Kids 9 and under free Mustache Dash (~50 meters)
12:45 Kids 12 and under free Mustache Dash (1/2 mile)
12:55 The Blue Jeans Mile - Run a mile in blue jeans. (Must bring your own jeans)
Awards to follow for 10 year age groups in the 1- mile races.

$100 in Prize Money for 1st place Male and Female who breaks the current Frank Shorter mile record:

Male: Enoch Nadler - 4:20
Female: Haley Hasty - 5:11

Kids who want to run/walk the Kids' Mustache run must register, but this is a FREE event for children 12 and under.

If you want to join the Florida Track Club and participate in the numerous races and track meets planned each year, go to Floridatrackclub.org.  Individual yearly membership is only $40, family membership $65, and student membership $25.  For 2024 - 13 total races (all professionally timed) 7 of them are free for club members, 4 races with discounts, and a summer social.
