8-9:30am: Maritime Forest Walk at Nature Center at Night Heron Park

Explore Kiawah's Maritime Forest on a relaxing nature walk led by a naturalist. From native plants to indigenous bird varieties and freshwater turtles, immerse yourself in the beauty and biodiversity of Kiawah's Maritime Forest.

$20/person. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations required, please call 843.768.6001, 24-hour cancellation policy.

11am-12:30pm: Cones, Croquet, and Cornhole at Night Heron Park

Celebrate Independence Day in style with a flavorful snow cone, show off your croquet skills, and challenge your family in an American classic, cornhole. It's a perfect mix of fun and exciting competition that will make this 4th unforgettable.
This event is complimentary, and no reservations are required. Snow cones are available for purchase. Reusable cups will be available for purchase to receive a reduced rate on snow cones later in the week.

12–4pm: Pirate Escape Boat at Night Heron Park

Join us for an adventure on the Flying Dutchman's thrilling 10-minute escape room! 7 courageous explorers will band together to crack clues and unravel riddles with one mission – to break the Dutchman's curse and escape the ship. Space is limited and advance reservations are required, please call 843.768.6001. For our adventurers under 12, don't forget to bring along a parent. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your voyage. If your plans change, please call or email us to cancel your reservation.

1:30-3pm: Water Works: Family Olympics at Night Heron Park

This family-oriented water event is a fun, friendly competition where family members will compete in a series of games and sports that are sure to make a splash. Aqua sports, relay races, and puddle puzzles all designed to bring joy and teamwork to everyone.

$30/family. Teams of 3 to 6 people, for families with more, please purchase two slots.

2-3pm: Reptile Round-Up at Night Heron Park

Do you know how to tell the difference between a male and female turtle, or do you know how many teeth alligators have? From snakes to alligators to turtles, we've got them all! Learn the facts about these age-old creatures with a hands-on experience.

$15/person. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations required, please call 843.768.6001, 24-hour cancellation policy.

2:30-4pm: Bingo and Brains at Night Heron Park Stage

Trivia meets bingo in this tactical and exciting event led by our recreation staff. Fun facts and tidbits add a playful twist to these two classic games. Prizes will be awarded throughout.
This event is complimentary, no reservations are required.

3-4pm: Pool Chipping at Night Heron Children's Pool

Join us for an exciting chipping contest where precision and finesse are key. Test your short game skill and compete against fellow golf enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned player or just getting started, this competition guarantees a friendly and fun contest in a relaxed setting.

Entry is complimentary, no reservations required. Recommended for ages 8+. Please note the Kiawah Island Golf Resort pool usage is exclusive to resort guests and Governor's Club members.

4-5pm: Stuffed Animal Factory at Turtles' Nest Art Studio

Select and stuff your own furry friend to remind you of your time spent on Kiawah Island. A great companion for car rides or flights home!

$25/animal. All ages welcomed. No reservation required.

4-5pm: Duck Derby at Night Heron Children's Pool

Choose and customize your favorite patriotic racer, come up with your most creative name and enter the bracket style tournament to watch them go head-to-head down the water slide.
Please note that Kiawah Island Golf Resort Pool usage and Duck Derby is exclusive to resort guests and Governor's Club members. No entry after 4:10pm. Event is complimentary.

5-8pm: Kids Night Out: Red, White, and Blue Celebration at Night Heron Park Pavilion

Get ready for a red, white, and blue celebration! We'll have fun with delicious hot dogs, potato sack races and other patriotic games. Come celebrate Independence Day with us!

5:30-6:30pm: Canvas Painting at Turtles' Nest Art Studio

Join us for a fun and relaxed painting class where everyone can get creative—no matter your age or experience level. Our instructor will choose a project that's perfect for the group, guiding you step-by-step through the painting process so that everyone can follow along and create something beautiful. 

$60/person. Children under 7 will need to be accompanied by an adult for supervision. Reservations are required.

5:30-7:30pm: Kiawah Quest at Night Heron Park Stage

The competition is fierce! It's the goofiest battle you've ever been a part of. Bring the whole crew and test your quick wit and brain power with this interactive activity for the entire family. It's trivia meets scavenger hunt in this zany game show where everyone gets involved.
