Our annual Fire & Ice winter festival includes games, entertainment, food and fireworks. Following cancellations in recent years due to poor ice conditions, the annual event will look a little different this year as it moves from a frozen lake setting to a park. Despite the change, Fire & Ice returns with fun fan favorites.
The free event offers a variety of winter activities, including ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Attendees can wander through the snow village or gather in a heated tent for activities such as BINGO and DJ-led music. Children may enjoy a snow play area and photo opportunities at the llama meet-and-greet.
True to event tradition, Fire & Ice includes a fireworks display beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attendees may return to the tent after the fireworks for a live performance by Jonah and the Whales. Participants should bring cash and/or credit cards for food truck purchases and drinks at the ice bar. A schedule of events will be posted on the city website in mid-January.
