02:00 Pm - 03:30 Pm : An Afternoon of Opera and Musical Theater

The Opera and Musical Theater Intensive students as well as the Opera and Musical Theater Chorus students come together to perform scenes from operatic and broadway works with staging, costumes, and more. This finale performance is the culmination of two long weeks of hard work for singers and actors. This year, as we celebrate 45 years of Festival, this finale performance will mark our Festival's opening production, followed by a reception in the Great Hall. Don't miss it!

02:00 Pm - 03:30 Pm : Festival Kickoff Reception

A reception for the OMT performance, a kick-off for Festival, and the singing of Jo Ryman Scott's new book, Almost a Century. The free RSVP is for the reception attendance head count only and does not include a copy of the book. Jo will be available for the book signing at the reception, but please do purchase a copy of Jo's book here. They can be handed out at this event.

We will be offering some light entertainment, a cash bar, and passed appetizers provided by Riverside Eats + Drinks in the Great Hall at UAF. A spectacular way to celebrate 45 years of Festival, Jo Ryman Scott, and an amazing Festival Summer to come at this year's kick-off event, free to all attendees. We look forward to seeing all of you there!
