Applicable grades/instruments: Middle and High School students (grades 6-12). Open to solo performers and ensembles on wind instruments, strings, percussion, and piano. Note that piano students are not state eligible (there is no state solo category for piano).

Registration time slots are 10-20 minutes, depending on category and scheduling constraints. Note that performances must be under 10 minutes regardless of given time slot.

This contest follows the rules and requirements described in the OSAA State Solo Music Handbook and the OMEA State Chamber Ensemble Rules.
