The mission at Colon Screening for Life, Inc. is to educate the community on early detection and prevention of colon cancer through regular screenings such as colonoscopies.  Each year thousands of American families are affected by this common but little discussed disease. Colon Screening for Life, Inc. a 501c(3) organization, works to decrease the incidence of colon cancer and related deaths in the Tri-state area through education and awareness events. Two of the ways we help bring Colon Cancer Awareness to the forefront is by providing programs like our CSFL 5K Run/Walk and our Shake Your Booty Dance. This year’s Colon Screening for Life 5K will be held at Old National Bank, Downtown. Colorectal cancer is just starting to receive the long overdue attention it deserves and this is an opportunity for you to get involved with an issue that is gaining national attention. When you make a decision to be an advocate for colorectal cancer prevention, people will pay attention. Your support will make a true impact and help save thousands of lives!

Course Info:

The Colon Screening for Life 5K Run/Walk kicks off at Old National Bank in Downtown Evansville.

Awards:

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female Finishers.

The top three male and female finishers in each age group (excluding overall top finishers) will each receive a medal. The age group brackets are as follows:

- 15 and under
- 16-20
- 21-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70 and over
- Kids Dash – Awards given to the top winner of each heat. Heats include: 3 & under, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11.

Cost:

- Entry fee is $25.00 for the 5k and 1 Mile Walk for all participants over 5 years of age
- Entry fee (except for Kids Dash) includes a Race Bag and T-Shirt (guaranteed to first 500 participants)(Youth size t-shirts will vary in style and design). Race shirts must be picked up during scheduled packet pick-up days, including the day of the event, and will not be available after the event.
- There will be a service charge for all online registrations
- Race Day Registration Is Allowed ($30 race fee)
- No refunds will be given. Race will be held rain or shine
- Registrations are transferrable with a fee
- To participate in the Kids Dash, children must be 11 years of age or under and register before or on the day of the run. Cost is $5
