Every summer, Classical Tahoe brings four weeks of world-class jazz and classical music performance to the beautiful campus of the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village.

5:00 pm and 7:00 pm: Ron and Maureen Ashley Oasis Chamber Music Series: Mendelssohn Octet

The English composer Arnold Bax was a contemporary of Ralph Vaughan Williams and Edward Elgar. His Oboe Quintet from 1922 showcases the oboe's versatility and virtuosity, accompanied by rich and inventive string quartet textures. Mendelssohn's youthful and exuberant String Octet concludes the Program. Classical Tahoe musicians will be led by guest violinist Francesca Dego. Tickets for the Ron and Maureen Ashley Oasis Chamber Music performance include a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception.
