Spin Into Spring! Community Bike Tune-Up

In case of foul weather, the event will be cancelled.
Is your bike ready for the Tour de Crème or even just an enjoyable summer of getting back and forth to Silvershell Beach? If it needs a little attention after the long winter, bring it to the MAC! We’ll have experts on hand who can look your bike over and give it some TLC in the form of a brake adjustment, chain lubrication or – in the event of more serious issues – they can provide advice about repairs that should be addressed before hitting the road.
We’ll have coffee available and some games for the whole family while the work progresses. Be sure to sign up for an arrival time slot below – it’s free! (Walk-ins welcome if you’re not sure when you will arrive.)
Please note that our bike repair volunteers will not be prepared to replace broken spokes, brake pads or provide other parts.

ArtWeek: Seed Starting Workshop
Organic Seed Starting Workshop with Paul Split on the MAC lawn or in the MAC Studio
$40 per person, includes all materials
Capacity: 20 students
During this fun and informative presentation, designed for the beginner and intermediate gardener, we’ll look at an assortment of seeds to grow in our zone. We will explore the organic process from germination to harvest and examine the latest propagation techniques. During the workshop participants will receive everything needed to start their own seeds.
The materials provided include:
standard bottom water tray
a 48 cell Seed tray
Organic growing medium
7 1/2 ” vented propagation dome
An assortment of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds
Latex gloves
Spray bottle
Planting tool

ArtWeek: The Greatest Showman Sing-along
Film Screening: The Greatest Showman (Sing-along) in the MAC’s Anne Braitmayer Webb Theater with host Paul Kandarian
$8 per person, Recommended for ages 10 and up
The Marion Art Center hosts a screening of The Greatest Showman, presented with on-screen lyrics. Sing along with “The Other Side,” “This Is Me,” “Rewrite the Stars,” and more! Costumes are encouraged as is dancing!

Hugh Jackman leads an all-star cast in this bold and original musical filled with infectious show-stopping performances that will bring you to your feet time and time again, also starring Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
