T&C Surf is stoked to announce the 27th Annual T&C Surf Grom Contest presented by Duke's Waikiki. Join the T&C family at Queen's, the premiere South Shore surf break under the shadow of the legendary Duke Kahanamoku for a weekend of surf, sand and sun.

The general rule of thumb is groms who have participated in NSSA or HASA or any other organized competitive surfing branch are strictly prohibited. "The T&C GROM Contest is an opportunity for us to share the Stoke & Aloha of surfing with our community, "says T&C Surf founder Craig Sugihara. "Today the GROM Contest is the premiere platform for young non-rated surfers to gain valuable competitive experience and share a weekend packed with sun, sand, surf, and family fun!" The contest is usually at full capacity each year, so make sure to get your entry form in early. All contestants receive a goodie bag with a contest T-shirt, and lunch courtesy of Duke's Waikiki.

Contest Divisions

Groms ages 12 and younger take to the waves vying for top spots in shortboard, longboard and bodyboard divisions. Preliminary heats are run with the top six advancing to the next round.

The event wraps up on Sunday, with final heats, awarding the top six in each division receive medals and prize packs filled with surf products from event sponsors like Dakine, Vans, RVCA, Futures Fins, Yeti, PSD, Sun Bum, Science, Melin and GoPro. Plus, two lucky participants will win a custom T&C surfboards. Mahalo to all of our sponsors who help to make this day special for the kids.
