A celebration of Celtic arts, culture and traditions. It includes music, dance, education, athleticism, and family fun.

In 2022 - we set a  Guinness World Record for the  ' Largest Gathering of People Wearing Unicorn Horns' (Scotland's National Animal)

Charleston WV between Wednesday February 26th and Sunday March 2nd, 2025. Celtic Calling offers a full spectrum of Music, Dance, Theater, Sporting and Celtic Heritage and Cultural Events.

4:00 pm: Capitol Street Celtic Calling PARADE- Lee Street Triangle to Kanawha Blvd - Pipe Bands, Dancers, Puppets, Civic Organizations, Unicorns, Clans - If you are interested in joining as an individual or group please contact: [email protected] 

10:00 am - 3:45pm: Celtic Village- City Center at Slack Plaza, 169, Summers Street. including:

Main Stage, music and dance: Faire May (Wheeling), Kanawha Valley Pipes And Drums, Lincoln County Cloggers, Savanna Brown Scottish Dancer, Tim and Maggie with Vaughan Gold. Also - Dog Show, and Pageant and crowning of Gathering Chieftain, Chieftainess, Clansman and Lady, Lad and Lassie.

Games Field: Children's mini Highland Games and demonstrations by Rutherford Academy of Celtic Arms
Times for stage and field to be announced.

In the Park and on the street: Clan Tents, Over 20 Crafter's set up on Summers Street,  Civic Organizations, Mclaughlin Brigade - Jacobite reenactors,  Roaming Musician - Garrett Maner, - Floki and Puma,  Irish Wolfhounds,  Appalachian Willow - Demonstrating crafter,  Annie deBoard - aerialist, Children's Craft Activities - incl.: Sockness Monsters and Children's Pipe Cleaner weaving Craft.

- Scottish Attire from Toledo, Scot and Irish kilts and dress. 'Scottish Attire', specializing in Traditional Scottish & Irish Clothing located in Toledo Ohio will be setting up on Friday (stay tuned for place) and Saturday at Slack. They carry a full range of tartan kilts, sport, specialty and utility kilts. They also produce quality custom Argyle jackets and Prince Charlie jackets, for full dress ensemble. Contact them before the Gathering, and/or order online to be sure they bring what you want as they have an extensive range. You will be able to pick up a Kilt in person for the Ceili, Kilt Run or to wear on the weekend, no worries over whether it will fit: https://scottishattire.com/
