Historic Downtown Grass Valley

Kicking off the 4th of July morning, the Greater Grass Valley Chamber and Grass Valley Downtown Association are partnering with Twin Cities Church to present the third annual Family Pancake Breakfast on W. Main Street between the Clock Tower and the Holbrooke Hotel. Join us in downtown Grass Valley from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. for yummy pancakes and children’s games, then stay and enjoy the Parade!

Festivities begin at 9:00 am with the Nevada County Concert Band performing patriotic favorites on Sergio's Patio on Mill Street. The 4th of July Parade begins at 10:00 am, starting at the corner of South Auburn and West Main Streets, and follows the traditional route down Mill Street winding its way through neighborhoods, ending at Condon Park.

The parade will include the return of the Ophir Prison Marching band—a crowd favorite—who will not only march in the parade but will also close out the festivities with an additional performance on Broad Street.

Hosted by the Greater Grass Valley Chamber and Grass Valley Downtown Association: a Whoop-it-Up, Dancing in the Streets Evening Festival on Mill Street from 6:00 - 9:00 pm! Rockin’ hot music and ice-cold beer, wine, and sparkling drinks will keep you cool while you dance to the music of The Edgetones!!!! So come on down, and enjoy the fabulous food vendors, music, and evening merriment on Mill!

Once again, supported by community sponsors, the City of Grass Valley will organize the pyro spectacular extravaganza that will light up the skies, shot from the Dorsey Interchange at around 9:30 p.m.
