Join us for the 1911 Initiative 5K Scholarship Run/Walk, in partnership with the Village of Matteson! This event goes beyond the race, raising essential funds to support scholarships, mentorship, and internships for college-bound students.

Whether you’re a dedicated runner or prefer a casual stroll, or want to volunteer, everyone’s welcome! Enjoy a vibrant morning with race festivities and post-run fun, featuring live music, a concert stage, beer tent, food vendors, and demos from local businesses. Every participant receives a race packet with a commemorative shirt, finisher medal, and sponsor swag. Stretch Lab will also be on-site with free stretch demos and consultations.

Top 3 overall male and female and top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards. Age groups include 7 & Under 8-10, 11-14, 15-17,18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+
